Therapist in Knox-Henderson
If you're looking for a therapist in Knox-Henderson, you're close. I'm Andy Sibley, LMFT and LPC. My office is on Central Expressway at Suite 670, a short drive from the Knox Street corridor, so a session can fit between work, dinner plans, or the rest of your week.
LMFT & LPC, licensed in Texas & Louisiana. Accepting new clients. Most major insurance accepted.
Why see a therapist in Knox-Henderson?
Knox-Henderson moves. Restaurants and shops fill the Knox Street strip. Evenings run late. Weekdays fill up with work and plans that stack on top of each other. When life is already loud, driving across town for therapy often loses to everything else on the list.
A nearby office changes that math. Mine sits on Central Expressway where Knox-Henderson meets Uptown and East Dallas. You can leave the neighborhood, sit for 50 minutes, and get back without burning half a day. When coming in isn't realistic, we meet online. Either way, starting does not require a perfect schedule.
What do you help with?
I've spent more than 20 years sitting with adults and couples in Dallas. Here's how I work.
- Anxiety and stress that won't switch off. We find what's driving it and build tools you can use the same week.
- Depression that flattens everything. We take it in steps so the days start to feel like yours again.
- Grief and loss. There's no timeline. We make room for it and move at your pace.
- ADHD and the mess it makes of daily life. Practical structure, less shame, real follow-through.
- Relationships under strain. I see couples for the hard conversations that keep going in circles at home.
If worry and tension are the main thing, read about my anxiety counseling in Dallas. If your relationship is the reason you're searching, see couples counseling in Dallas. Same office, same short drive from Knox Street.
What happens when I reach out?
Starting is the hard part. Here's exactly what it looks like so there are no surprises.
- You call or send the form. Tell me a little about what's going on. A sentence or two is plenty.
- We set up a first session. In person near Knox-Henderson or online across Texas, whichever fits your week.
- We talk. You tell me what brought you in and what you want to change. I ask about your history and what you've already tried. No prep needed.
- We pick a starting point. By the end of the first session we'll have a sense of where to begin and how often to meet.
No pressure. You can ask questions first. Plenty of people feel nervous before the first call, and that's normal.
Who is Andy Sibley?
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Texas and Louisiana. Most therapists hold one of those. I hold both, which means I can work with you as an individual and with the people around you.
I earned my degree at Louisiana Tech University and I've been in practice for more than 20 years, with 16 of those also spent teaching psychology as an adjunct professor. In two decades of this work, I've learned that the people who reach out are rarely as stuck as they feel. They just need a steady person in the room.
You can read more about how conditions like anxiety and depression are described by the National Institute of Mental Health if you want background before we talk.
What does it cost, and do you take my insurance?
Plain numbers, no surprises.
- Individual, 50 minutes: $200
- Couples or family, 50 minutes: $250
- Extended session, 80 minutes: $300
I accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, UMR, and United Healthcare. Coverage depends on your plan, so it's smart to confirm your therapy benefits with the number on your card. If insurance is the thing holding you back, see my fees and insurance page for the full picture, then call and I'll help you make sense of it.
