Hi, Im Andy Sibley

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana, USA. My private practice office, Andy Sibley Counseling Services, Inc., is located in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is where I enjoy doing face-to-face counseling with individuals, couples and families to “Help Them Help Themselves”. I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults.

As the son of a mom/psychotherapist, I was exposed to many of the theories of therapy and often attended and helped with workshops and seminars growing up. Learning from many of the great leaders of family therapy at these workshops, gave me a wonderful foundation for my college graduate work.

As a dad and husband, I believe I can relate to many struggles families have. I continually research and learn better ways to parent and be a husband and love to share these principles with my clients.

I also teach psychology courses part-time at a local university and believe it helps me grow as a person to teach these college students and see life from their point of view.

Another part of my work is my affiliation with THE DR. PHIL SHOW. I am one of the therapists they contracted with across the USA to work with guests on the show that Dr. Phil believes would benefit from talking to a trained professional. I provide aftercare to their guests from across The U.S. and join them on the show for updates if they return.

I also enjoy doing public speaking engagements for organizations and news shows. I’m a big ham, so contact me if you want me to speak in your area.

I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University.

I hold License #2841 as a Licensed Professional Counselor and license #830 as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the LPC Board of Examiners, 8631 Summa Avenue, Suite A, in Baton Rouge, LA 70809 (phone); 225-765-2515.

I am also a Board approved Clinical Supervisor for Counselor Interns for the state of Louisiana.
